Consumption Limits

The Consumption Limit tab in the Assets screen allows you to specify a limit of how many inventory items an asset should consume in a set number of days.

You can set PMXAlerts to warn you when an asset exceeds its limit. See either:

The Consumption Limit Report will show you which assets have exceeded their inventory limits.

1.In the Assets screen, find the asset for which you want to set inventory consumption limits.
2.Click on the Consumption Limits tab in the bottom portion of the Assets screen.
3.Click the New button to the right.  The Consumption Limit [New] window appears.

4.Click the ellipsis next to the Item field to choose the inventory item you want to limit.  To review how to search in Find window, see Chapter 1: Introduction, Common Functions: Find a Record.
5.In the Limit field, enter the number of items that the asset is limited to.
6.In the Day Range field, enter the number of days the asset is limited to the number of items specified above.
7.If you want this inventory item limit to apply to all of the assets in PMXpert, select the Apply to All Assets checkbox.  The consumption limit will then appear in the Consumption Limits tab for all assets.
8.Click Save.

1.In the Assets screen, find the asset with the inventory consumption limit you want to edit, view or delete.
2.Under the Consumption Limits tab, select the consumption limit you want to edit, view or delete.
3.Click the Edit, View or Delete button directly to the right.
4.Note that if you Delete a Consumption Limit that you originally applied to all assets, that Consumption Limit will be deleted for all assets.
