The Part/Fluid list is a list of parts and fluids that apply to the asset.  Later, when you add parts or fluids to Services on the Asset, a Work Order, or Cost Entry, you can select the part or fluid from this Part/Fluid List, making it easier to select the correct inventory item needed.

You can create a new list of parts and fluids for an asset by following the instructions below. If the Part/Fluid List for an Asset will be identical or similar to the list of another asset, you can copy that Part/Fluid List; see Copy a Part/Fluid List below.

1.In the Assets screen, find the Asset to which you want to add a Part/Fluid list.
2.Click on the Part/Fluid List tab in the middle section of the screen.

4.The Asset Part/Fluid [New] window appears.

5.You cannot change the Asset field.  It is the asset you are currently viewing in the Assets screen.
6.Click the ellipsis next to the Item field to bring up the Find Inventory window. Follow the instructions in Chapter 1: Introduction, Common Functions: Find a Record to find the correct inventory item.

9.Check the Inventory Controlled box if the item will be inventory controlled.
10.Click Save.
