The PMXpert Automation Service is an application that is required to run two separately purchased Automation modules:
| • | VisionLinkTM Import Module |
The VisionLinkTM Import Module records GPS locations and times from the VisionLink web service into your PMXpert database for easy GPS tracking of your Assets.
| • | PMXAlerts Module |
The PMXAlerts Module will monitor the status of automation items such as service overdue, inventory re-order, work order created, and so on, and automatically send notification emails to selected users. It is similar to the previous version of PMXAlerts, but with more functionality and ability to customize. The new PMXAlerts can run multiples of the same automation item concurrently, each identified by its custom user-defined name. Also, if the user wishes to get information from or save information to a different database, each automation item can now define its own database connection.
If you already have the previous PMXAlerts Module, the new PMXAlerts can take the settings from your old PMXAlerts Module and import them for a quick startup. You will be required to enter the database connection information you are using in PMXpert to update your settings from PMXAlerts.
NOTE: The PMXpert Automation Service requires SMTP email settings. |
